Boston police are investigating a shooting in Mattapan late Monday night that sent three people to the hospital.
Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation near Temple Street in Mattapan around 10:53 p.m. At the scene, they found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds, said Officer Mark Marron, a Boston Police spokesman.
Both were treated at the scene and taken to a hospital by Boston Emergency Medical Services. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening, Marron said.
Officers also found a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting crashed nearby. A third person, who is a family member of one of the victims, was also taken to the hospital. They were not injured, Marron said.
