3 armed robbery suspects arrested after hours-long standoff in Dorchester home

A group of people who police say robbed a Dorchester barber shop at gunpoint on Thursday afternoon were arrested after an hours-long standoff with police inside a home.

Boston police learned of an armed robbery in progress at 479 Blue Hill Ave., the address for Edward’s Barbershop, around 4 p.m. Thursday, Deputy Superintendent Joseph Gillespie told reporters outisde the Dorchester home where the arrests were made. When police arrived to the barbershop, individuals inside told them they had been robbed at gunpoint by masked individuals.

A motor vehicle involved in the robbery was found outisde a home on Adams Street in Dorchester, and investigators determined the robbery suspsects had fled inside, according to Gillespie. A Boston police SWAT Team and negotiators went to the scene.
