2 $100,000 lottery prizes won in Mass. from daily $2 drawing game

Two lottery players from Massachusetts struck it rich and won $100,000 each on Saturday during the daily lottery drawing.

The $100,000 prizes were each from “Mass Cash.” The winning numbers for the Oct. 12 drawing were 8, 13, 15, 22 and 32.

One of the winning tickets that matched all five numbers was sold in Wakefield from S&M Liquors. The other was sold in Middleborough from Trucci’s Market.

Overall, at least 231 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Saturday, including 12 in Springfield, two in Worcester and 18 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

So far, the largest lottery prize won in Massachusetts this year was worth $1 million a year for life.

The prize was from the lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” scratch ticket game. The winner claimed their prize through a trust on July 10, and opted to receive a one-time payment of $15.4 million.
