
A $1 million a year for life grand prize was won on a $50 scratch ticket purchased in Springfield.
The money will be distributed to the SFBLGLN1944 Trust of Quincy. The trustee, David Spillane, selected the cash option for the prize and received a one-time payment of $15.4 million, before taxes, according to a statement from the Massachusetts State Lottery Commission. Spillane said his client plans on investing the winnings.
The winning “Lifetime Millions” ticket was sold at Orchard Variety located at 152 Main St. in Indian Orchard. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
There is one $1 million a year for life grand prize still remaining in the “Lifetime Millions” instant game.
