Astrid, an almost 2-year-old horse from Franklin County, is recuperating through the MSPCA after she was in “dire need of medical attention” from emaciation.
The Percheron filly was surrendered by her owner on Friday, March 7, in Western Massachusetts as part of an ongoing MSPCA law enforcement case, the MSPCA-Angell said in a news release.
