David Spinale’s Xaverian Hawks are hungrier than ever this year.
“They know there’s unfinished business,” Spinale said of last season’s boys hockey state semifinal loss to St. John’s Prep. “The seniors this year, as juniors they fell in the semifinals, as sophomores they played in the Garden, and as freshmen, some of them watched us in the Garden. They’re ready to make it back there and hopefully win the Catholic Conference.”
