A woman and a young child were shot in the driveway of a Dorchester apartment building late Monday night, according to Boston Police.
Police were alerted to the shooting at 81 Stratton St. at 11:39 p.m. Monday via a shotspotter activation, Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox told reporters at the scene. Officers arriving found a woman and a baby with gunshot wounds.
Both the woman and the baby were taken to local hospitals, Cox said. The woman’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening, while the child’s injuries are life-threatening.
