A woman was arrested on Saturday after police say she drunkenly drove across the Duxbury Police Department‘s lawn.
While inside the police station, an officer noticed the car driving across the front lawn. Two officers then went to stop the car using their police cruisers.
Police said the 57-year-old driver from Pembroke didn’t know she’d driven across the lawn and didn’t know what town she was in.
Police said they conducted field sobriety tests and arrested the woman. She is charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
“This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of drinking and driving,” Duxbury police Chief Michael Carbone said in a press release posted on Facebook.
