
A 30-year-old woman in Boston was arrested after MBTA Transit Police say she dragged and punched her service dog.
At around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the 30-year-old was seen dragging and punching her 3-year-old service dog multiple times, MBTA Transit Police said on X, formerly known as Twitter. Officers at Ashmont Station along the red line near Dorchester Avenue and Ashmont Street arrested the woman.
The service dog, named Scooby Doo, was turned over to animal control after the incident.
MBTA Transit Police did not release the woman’s name or charges.
