A 78-year-old woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when she was hit by an SUV in Weymouth, the Norfolk District Attorney’s office said.
The woman, whose name was withheld pending notification of her family, was hit in the area of 314 Washington St. around 1 p.m., the district attorney’s office said in a statement. She was taken to South Shore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene after the crash, and no charges were immediately filed.
