After having their six-game winning streak broken via a loss to Agawam on Tuesday, West Springfield boys lacrosse (8-3) bounced right back on Thursday, beating Wahconah (2-9) 22-1 at home.
The win not only helped the Terriers recover from Tuesday’s loss, it also marked the first time they’ve taken down the Warriors in years.
Wahconah won the matchup each of the last three years against West Springfield, but that streak stopped cold on Thursday.
Paving the way for the Terriers was Ryan Visconti who finished with five goals and an assist. Also flexing their scoring chops were Nate Stone with four goals, James DiCicco with three, and Cam Giang, Owen Griggs, and Abel Varzeas all with two.
Stone and Varzeas also grabbed plenty of helpers, combining for nine assists in the contest.
Next, West Springfield will travel to face 6-2 Amherst on Monday at 4:45 p.m.
