Wednesday’s game kicked off brilliantly for the Hornets, who jumped out to an early 2-0 lead during the first period. Amherst managed to cut the lead in half in the opening frame before eventually winning 4-3.
McCann re-established the two goal lead thru John Stack, but Ethan Mooney’s second once again brought the game to within one.
