Saturday night Agawam (13-4) avenged its December loss to East Longmeadow (5-12), beating the Spartans 61-41 on their home court.
In the victory, which was the third in a row for Agawam, Elijah Maldonado exploded for 29 points. Although he hit two threes, much of Maldonado’s damage came from within the arc, hitting 10 2-pointers.
