The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 1:18 a.m. on Tuesday valid from Wednesday 4 a.m. until Thursday 3 a.m. for Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service comments, “Southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” says the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
