The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 11:56 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until Thursday at 4 a.m. for Barnstable, Dukes and Nantucket counties.
The weather service describes, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.”
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” describes the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
