Wind advisory affecting 4 Massachusetts counties until early Thursday morning

A wind advisory was issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 12:44 a.m. valid from 4 p.m. until Thursday 4 a.m. for Northern Worcester as well as Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden and Middlesex counties.

The weather service states, “West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected.”

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” states the weather service. “Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.”
