The Wimbledon women’s semifinals are on Thursday, July 11, with 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan facing 2021 French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic, and No. 7 Jasmine Paolini of Italy meeting unseeded Donna Vekic of Croatia.
The semifinals are scheduled to start at 8 a.m. EST and will be broadcast on ESPN and ESPN+. Fans looking to watch can do so through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, both of which offer a free trial. Rybakina is the only quartet member who has been to the final four at the All England Club before. The last semifinalists were determined, with No. 4 Elena Rybakina defeating No. 21 Elina Svitolina 6-3, 6-2, and No. 31 Barbora Krejcikova eliminating No. 13 Jelena Ostapenko 6-4, 7-6 (4) in the women’s bracket.
The men’s semifinals are on Friday, July 12 with defending champion Carlos Alcaraz of Spain against 2021 U.S. Open winner Daniil Medvedev of Russia, and 24-time Grand Slam title owner Novak Djokovic of Serbia against first-time major semifinalist Lorenzo Musetti of Italy. Musetti reached the first Grand Slam semifinal of his career with a five-set victory over Taylor Fritz in the men’s quarterfinals. Djokovic did not even need to play a point to get to his 13th semifinal at Wimbledon and 49th at all majors, because his quarterfinal opponent, Alex de Minaur, withdrew with an injured hip hours before they were supposed to get on the court.
