DETROIT — DH Masataka Yoshida is not in the Red Sox lineup against the Tigers on Friday. He’s also not expected to be in the lineup again Saturday.
That’s because the plan is for Rafael Devers to serve as the DH both days. Devers missed Boston’s past three games (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday against the Blue Jays) because of chronic shoulder soreness. The Red Sox are trying to ease him back into the lineup by starting him at DH the next two days. He’s expected to play third base Sunday.
