A couple of 1-1 squads face off on Saturday, Sept. 13 as the North Carolina Tar Heels host the Richmond Spiders at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C.
The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. EDT and will be broadcast on the ACC Network. Fans looking to watch this college football game can do so for free by using DirecTV, which offers a free trial, or FuboTV, which also offers a free trial as well as up to $30 off your first month. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but has promotional offers available for streaming the game. You can stream ESPN+ on your phone, tablet, smart TV or gaming console for $11.99/month or bundle with Disney+ and Hulu for just $16.99 per month.
North Carolina bounced back from its 48-14 season opening loss to TCU with a 20-3 victory over Charlotte. However, the talk after the game was not about the Tar Heels’ performance but about coach Bill Belichick confirming that the New England Patriots were not allowed to have scouts visit North Carolina.
“It’s clear that I’m not welcome there, around their facilities,” Belichick said, via the Raleigh News & Observer, “and they aren’t welcome at ours. Pretty simple.”
The coach was also in the news this week because of denied trademark requests he filed alongside girlfriend Jordon Hudson and because of a new book releasing on Sept. 16, “Brady vs. Belichick: The Dynasty Debate” by Gary Myers.
Richmond comes into this meeting off a 14-10 win against Wofford. The Spiders have played all of their games on the road so far to start the season.
