Where is Adam Vinatieri, New England Patriots legend who got jacked at 50?

What is Adam Vinatieri doing these days? Let’s take a look at where the former New England Patriots kick and Super Bowl hero is now and what he’s been up to since retirement.

Where is: Adam Vinatieri?

After 10 seasons in New England, Vinatieri played another 14 NFL seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. He’s since put down roots in Indy and currently lives in Zionsville, Indiana.

These days, the 52-year-old is enjoying the benefits of the extra free time that comes with retirement — like coaching his sons in football and baseball.

“Been really enjoying some family life,” he said to Patriots.com in 2023. “When you’re 50 now and not too long retired, you get to a lot of fun stuff. Been coaching both of my sons in football and baseball and really embracing the opportunities of doing some stuff that I never had to opportunity to do before.”

The NFL’s all-time leader in points and made field goals is also on the cusp of the Hall of Fame and could be tabbed for enshrinement this weekend at the Super Bowl.

Vinatieri is 52 years old and has been out of professional football for less than four years. He’s also more jacked than ever.

In 2023, Vinatieri made waves on social media with his workout videos, showcasing a far more chiseled physique than when he was in the NFL.

Vinatieri’s new fitness regiment was brought on by his oldest son, AJ Vinatieri, who’s a redshirt junior kicker/punter for Louisville. He says the workouts tap into some of that competitiveness from his playing career. But the real motivation lies elsewhere.

“People are like, ‘Why? Why do you want to do this?’ … I’m going to continue to keep getting older and I just want to feel good,” he said. “I want to keep my body in shape. I want to be able to do a bunch of stuff and looking in the mirror and being proud of the work that you continue to do is important to me.”

Vinatieri announced his retirement from the NFL on May 26, 2021 at the age of 48. He told Patriots.com that it took him “two or three years” to decompress from the rigid urgency of the NFL. Now, he says he can “watch the news and drink a cup of coffee at a slower pace.”

Outside of spending time with his family and working out, Vinatieri keeps busy with various appearances. He recently participated in a charity campaign to promote firearms safety. Last year, he helped former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski with his “Kick of Destiny” Super Bowl commercial. In October, he returned to Foxborough to be the “Keeper of the Light,” a pregame honor at Gillette Stadium.

He’s also available on Cameo, where you can book him for a $250 personal message.

You can also find him on the road and on the ranch.

“A lot of traveling. I have a ranch out in Missouri. So I do a bunch of hunting and fishing and traveling and doing some of that stuff,” Vinatieri said to Patriots.com.
