What’s next for criminal justice reform in Mass.? An expert weighs in

Over the years, Massachusetts’s rate of incarceration, as well as its prison population, have been on the decline. At the same time, watchdogs and prison reform advocates continue to call out the systemic inequities present in the Bay State’s carceral system.

It’s been six years since Massachusetts lawmakers passed significant criminal justice reform into law, and Jesse White, policy director at Prisoners’ Legal Services of Massachusetts, believes it’s time for more change.
