WESTFIELD – It’s cliché, but the Westfield Technical Academy girls soccer team put their blood, sweat and tears into their third straight win of the season.
Westfield Tech senior Xayana Hernandez scored in the 13th minute and the Tigers held on for a grueling, injury plagued 1-0 win over Putnam on a sweltering late Friday afternoon at Jachym Field. It was also the third straight win for the Tigers, who have outscored the competition 9-0.
