WESTFIELD — Michael McMahon, the Westfield Sons of Erin’s Thomas M. Kane Irishman of the Year, serves on the Sons of Erin board of directors and was a founding member in 1979 and one of its original officers, serving as secretary.
Originally from Westfield, McMahon graduated from Westfield High School, Holyoke Community College and North Adams State College. He worked for the state Department of Revenue for 18 years, and served as the Westfield city collector for 16 years.
