WESTFIELD – Another day, another mercy-rule victory for one of the Whip City’s Little Leaguers.
Starting pitcher Keegan Welch tossed a two-hitter, striking out five batters and the Westfield 10U All-Stars shut out Longmeadow, 11-0, in a District 2 tournament game Wednesday night at Ralph E. Sanville Memorial Field (Cross Street). Welch also helped out himself with a two-run single.
