CHICOPEE – The Minnechaug Regional golf team received a round of applause after finishing first at the Division 1 golf west sectional championship, and North Middlesex’s Shawn Amari won a gold medal in the individual competition, but another local golfer had a noteworthy performance.
Westfield High School senior golfer Brian MacIntosh shot a 3-over 75, falling just one stroke short of a tie with Amari (74), good for second place on a cold, blustery day Tuesday at Chicopee Country Club.
