WESTFIELD — The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Westfield has put out a call for auditions for “Disney’s High School Musical Jr.,” directed by Devereaux Merchant-Finnell and music director Rick Marcil.
There are 35 spots available in the cast. Boys & Girls Club Chief Operating Officer Kellie Brown said all of the parts in the musical are open to the public. Anyone entering grades 5-12 may audition, regardless of whether they are a member of the Boys & Girls Club or what town they live in. Brown said in the past they have had actors from the Springfield area to the Hilltowns perform in their plays.
Auditions take place in the Boys & Girls Club, 28 W. Silver St., Westfield, on Sept. 5 and 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with callbacks on Sept. 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and spaces are starting to be assigned.
