
Holyoke police arrested seven men on Monday and charged them with soliciting sex for a fee, according to the police department.
The men were arrested as part of an operation targeting human trafficking in the city, Holyoke police said in a Facebook post. It was done under the direction of the Massachusetts State Police High Risk Victim Unit.
The men charged were 72-year-old Guy Flathers, 61-year-old Joseph Fournier, 34-year-old Christopher Laines, 49-year-old Jorge Lopez, 29-year-old Josue Ortiz, 68-year-old Jose Santiago and 47-year-old Sarom Soeng, according to Holyoke police.
“These types of operations will continue in the future in hopes of combatting the demand for sexual exploitation in the City of Holyoke,” Holyoke police wrote on Facebook.
