A North Adams man pleaded guilty to assaulting a 6-year-old child in 2022 in Berkshire County Superior Court on Thursday, the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday.
Jesriel Morales, 37, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated assault and battery on a child with a deadly weapon and two counts of assault and battery, the district attorney’s office said in a press release.
During the incident, Morales slammed the child into a window and wall, hit them with a belt, slapped them and then forced them to kneel on dried rice, the district attorney’s office said.
