‘We’re tired of these wet weekends too’: Humidity may mix with storms

Heat and humidity may follow into the weekend while Massachusetts experiences another line of thunderstorms that could cause flash flooding Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The rainy weather is supposed to start in Mass. Saturday afternoon and could continue until Saturday night, the weather service said.

The Boston area will likely have showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., with a high near 89 degrees. The showers could end after 10 p.m., according to National Weather Service. But there is a 60% chance of precipitation during the night.

The Lawrence, Waltham and Norwood areas may experience heavy rainfall mainly after 1 p.m. with a high near 88 degrees, said the weather service. Showers and thunderstorms may end after 9 p.m., however there’s a 60% chance of precipitation that night.

Worcester and central Mass. showers and thunderstorms will likely occur after 2 p.m., with a high near 88 degrees, said National Weather Service. During the night, there’s a 60% chance of precipitation but showers and thunderstorms may likely end before 9 p.m.

On Cape Cod, showers and thunderstorms could happen mainly after 2 p.m., with a high near 86 degrees. The storms may end before 11 p.m., however there is still a 60% chance of precipitation that night.
