The reigning European champions get their quest to repeat started at UEFA Euro 2024 when Italy faces Albania in the second game for Group B on Saturday, June 15 at Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund, Germany.
The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Fox. Fans looking to watch can do so through FuboTV or DirecTV Stream, both of which offer a free trial. SlingTV doesn’t offer a free trial but does have other promotional offers available.
Italy’s quest to repeat will not be an easy one. After facing Albania, Italy will play Spain and then Croatia to close out group play. At the last Euro tournament, Spain defeated Croatia to open the knockout round before running into Italy in the semifinals. Italy won that matchup in penalty kicks.
Albania is making its return to Euro after missing the last tournament. In 2016, Albania won a match over Romania, but still finished last among third-place teams and did not advance out of Group Stage as losses to France and Switzerland were too much to overcome. After Italy, Albania will face Croatia and then Spain for its final Group Stage match.

Italy coach Luciano Spalletti says he hasn’t necessarily changed his stance on PlayStation, but he has played the consoles his squad has set up to use during downtime at Euro 2024.
As explained in an Associated Press story, the issue for Spalletti is when the gaming interferes with sleep and players don’t perform as well the enxt day.
“I have nothing against any sort of game,” Spalletti said Friday, a day before Italy begins the defense of its European Championship title. “On the contrary, we have created a games room where there are two wonderful, modern, cutting-edge PlayStations that everyone goes there and plays.”
This is a far cry from where things were in March for the club when striker Gianluca Scamacca was let go because of an obsession with the game that Spalletti spoke on previously.
