WESTFIELD — Volunteers are being sought for the Credit for Life Fair on April 10 in the Westfield High School gymnasium from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Credit for Life Fair is an interactive event brought by the Western Mass Credit for Life committee, chaired by Melissa Taylor of Berkshire Bank that teaches students real-world budgeting and money management skills. Volunteers are being sought to run booths and interact with students from area high schools.
At the Fair, students select a profession as they arrive, receive a monthly take-home salary and credit score, and navigate various booths—such as housing, insurance, clothing, and retirement—to make “purchases” using imaginary cash, credit, or savings.
