CHICOPEE — Over the years, family and friends of Edward J. Downey have died or moved away, but the Marine who was killed in Vietnam before his 20th birthday still is not forgotten.
This is the 32nd year the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 111 honored the 15 men in a candlelight vigil at Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial Park off Chicopee Street on the evening before Memorial Day.
