A high-end Brazilian steakhouse known for its elevated Churrasco dining experience is expanding in the Boston area.
Fogo de Chão announced the signing of a lease for its location at the Northshore Mall in Peabody on Wednesday.
The new restaurant will be Fogo de Chão’s third location in the Boston area, joining its Boston and Burlington locations.
The new 6,184 square-foot restaurant is set to open sometime in 2025, according to a press release.
“A 45 year-old brand from Brazil, Fogo de Chão opened its first U.S. location 27 years ago and has proudly served the Boston market for over 13 years,” Barry McGowan, chief executive officer of Fogo de Chão, said in the release.
“Peabody’s unique blend of tradition and modernity makes it the perfect setting for our approachable dining experience,“ McGowan said. ”We look forward to providing both local residents and visitors with exceptional service and an unforgettable culinary journey.”
The Peabody restaurant will feature a large dining room centered around an open Churrasco grill where diners can watch chefs butcher, grill and carve cuts of meat over an open flame.
In addition to Fogo de Chão’s signature steak cuts —including a 32 oz. Long-Bone Tomahawk Ribeye — the restaurant will serve salads, superfoods, cured meats, antipasti and more.
The address for the future Fogo de Chão is 210 Andover St., Peabody.
