UMass faculty to vote Monday on joining calls to oust Chancellor Javier Reyes

AMHERST – The University of Massachusetts faculty will take a no-confidence vote Monday following Chancellor Javier Reyes’ decision to have a pro-Palestine protest broken up by police.

A special meeting of the Faculty Senate was set after 225 faculty and librarians signed a letter calling for Reyes to resign in the wake of the May 7 demonstration that resulted in the arrest of 134 people.
