This marks the league’s latest foray into international games and third time it’s held a game in France in recent years. This past season, the league held a game between the Detroit Pistons played the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 19, 2023. The first NBA regular-season game in Paris came back in 2020.

The NBA also held an international regular-season game last year when the Miami Heat played the San Antonio Spurs on Dec. 17, 2002 in Mexico City.

The news comes on the tail of recent buzz around 2023 No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembenyama, who is a native of France and played for Paris-based Metropolitans 92 before going to the San Antonio Spurs in this year’s draft.

Tickets for Paris Game 2024 “will go on sale at a later date,” with the league providing more information on how to get tickets on its website. Fans can join a waitlist for priority access to an “NBA Experiences” package, but that does require a $250 deposit.
