Truck crashes into centuries-old home weeks before homeowner’s wedding

A truck crashed into the side of a 1700′s Norwell home only a few weeks before the owner’s wedding.

The Norwell Fire Department said the truck crashed into the home and that the driver was stuck inside. They were able to extricated the driver and take them to the hospital.

The fire department also shared photos from the crash, showing the truck inside the home.

The homeowners weren’t home at the time of the crash. However, they have people planning to stay with them ahead of their wedding in three weeks, NBC Boston reported.

“Our wedding is in three weeks,” Brandon Hall told the news outlet. “So we had people coming here to stay with us, people that are coming in from out of town, I’m from the South, so I have a bunch of family and friends coming in, so this is just a big stress to have to deal with right before another very stressful time of your life.”

Hall’s fiancé, Cara Sacchetti, told NBC Boston that this was her “dream home” and that she had “really wanted to buy an antique house.” A plaque on the side of the house states it was built in 1706.

Officials have not stated if the driver will face any charges or why they lost control.
