This Cumberland Farms gas station in Mass. sold a winning $1 million lottery ticket

A winning $1 million lottery ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms gas station in Massachusetts and claimed on Monday.

The $1 million prize was from the “$4,000,000 Gold 50X” scratch ticket game, which was released for $10 per ticket in January. There are still two $4 million grand prizes and five $1 million prizes remaining to be claimed as of April 15.

The winning $1 million ticket was sold at a Cumberland Farms gas station in New Bedford.

Additionally, two $100,000 prizes were claimed Monday. One was from the “300X” scratch ticket game, and was sold at a Citgo gas station in Dorchester.

The other prize was from a winning “$100,000 Cash Extra” ticket sold at a Stop & Shop in Revere.

Overall, at least 776 prizes worth $600 or more were won or claimed in Massachusetts on Monday, including 21 in Springfield, 39 in Worcester and 70 in Boston.

The Massachusetts State Lottery releases a full list of winning tickets every day. The list only includes winning tickets worth more than $600.

The largest lottery prize won so far in 2025 was worth $15 million. It was from a “Diamond Deluxe” scratch ticket sold in Holyoke.

The $15 million winner claimed their prize through a trust on Jan. 30, and opted to receive their prize in the form of a one-time payment of $9.75 million. The winner said they wanted to help out their family and invest with the prize.
