The Big E has added one more act to its already extensive music lineup for fall 2023, announcing Monday that the rock band Lit will now perform.
On Friday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m., Lit will perform on the Court of Honor Stage, The Big E said on its social media. It added that the concert will be free for those who have admission to New England’s largest fair. Tickets can be bought on The Big E’s website.
The time and venue of the performance had previously been help by the rock band Puddle of Mudd.
On the band’s website, Lit said it is “considered one of the preeminent bands to have come out of the post-grunge era of the late 90′s and helped define an entire generaton of SoCal power punk with hard charging hits like ‘My Own Worst Enemy,’ ‘Miserable,’ ‘Zip-Lock,’ and ‘Lipstick & Bruises.’”
Additionally, Lit’s website stated that the band has released six global studio albums, including the RIAA certified platinum “A Place in the Sun.”
The band, from Orange County, California, consists of lead vocalist A. Jay Popoff, lead guitarist and vocalist Jeremy Popoff, bass player Kevin Baldes, and drummer Taylor Carroll.
The Big E started on Friday, Sept. 15 and will run through Sunday, Oct. 1 in West Springfield at the Eastern States Exposition.
