The cold and wet weekend Massachusetts just had will soon be a thing of a past as temperatures are expected to heat up by the middle of the week, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday and Tuesday call for normal temperatures for late October, which are typically in the upper-50s to low 60s, according to forecasters.
The residual cloudiness from the weekend should also be gone after Monday morning, and mostly dry weather is expected throughout the rest of the week.
The start of this “temperature roller coaster” should come Wednesday when temperatures are projected to reach the 70s, the National Weather Service said on X, formerly known as Twitter. By the end of the week, temperatures could reach 76 degrees.
A high pressure system bringing these above-normal temperatures is expected to last into the weekend, before things cool back down around Sunday, according to the weather service.
