SPRINGFIELD — When paramedics and EMTs rush to emergency calls across Massachusetts, they are using what they learned from Springfield paramedic Emily Chandler to treat people and save lives.
Chandler, 43, is no longer on the road responding to fires, multi-car pileups and other desperate 911 calls for help. She is now in charge of teaching the next generation of first responders in Massachusetts and has earned the American Ambulance Association’s coveted Stars of Life Award.
