Great Wolf Lodge announced plans to open a second New England location nearly two years ago and now — the wait is nearly over.
The massive 92,000 square-foot lodge is located in Mashantucket, Connecticut, adjacent from Foxwoods Resort Casino.
It features 549 rooms and will open May 23.
“The indoor water park is the marquee attraction at every Great Wolf Lodge Location,” the company said in a release.
“… Families across the Northeast will soon be able to bask in the year-round 84-degree indoor water park as well as delight in a multitude of family-friendly attractions, experiences and entertainment offerings at the resort. ”

The resort will also feature a zero-entry outdoor pool, hot tub and “luxurious” cabana section.
The Connecticut location will be one of two in New England, with the other in Fitchburg.
In celebration of its grand opening, Great Wolf Lodge is offering a discount of 25% off standing rates for a single night and 30% off multiple night stays for those who book their stay before Nov. 30.
The discount is valid for stays through Dec. 31, 2025.
Rates start at about $200 per night.
The resort is expected to create more than 500 jobs, the company said. It is part of a partnership agreement with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
