Two people were taken to Boston hospitals with serious injuries after they were stabbed in Stoughton Sunday night, police said.
Stoughton police went to Page Terrace at around 8 p.m. for a report of a disturbance. Arriving officers found two adults with stab wounds, Police Chief Donna McNamara said in a statement.
One person was taken to a Boston hospital by medical helicopter. The second person was taken by ambulance. Both people sustained serious injuries.
A person is in custody in connection with the double stabbing, but their name and the charges they face were not immediately released. Police say they are not seeking any additional suspects.
The stabbing is not believed to be a random act and there is no danger to the public, police said.
