Former Springfield Central star receiver Joe Griffin Jr. scored a touchdown for Boston College during the second half of the program’s game against Virginia on Saturday.
Against one-on-one coverage on 1st and goal from Virginia’s five-yard line, Griffin went around his defender and caught a high, looping pass from quarterback Thomas Castellanos in the back corner of the end zone. The touchdown made the score, 21-16, Virginia.
