Springfield police arrest suspect in shooting of teenage girl, mom and 3rd victim

SPRINGFIELD — A 29-year-old man out on bail following two previous firearms arrests has been charged in a triple shooting that left a teenage girl, a mother and another person injured.

David Beadle was arrested Tuesday on 17 charges including three counts of assault and battery with a firearm, two counts of attempted assault and battery and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, said Ryan Walsh, police spokesman.

He is accused in a June 29 shooting on Dunmoreland Street. Police responding to a ShotSpotter activation found two people wounded by gunfire on the scene and later located a third who was driven to Mercy Medical Center in a private vehicle. All three are recovering from their injuries, Walsh said.
