Springfield police arrested a 21-year-old man on Thursday who had 11 warrants out for his arrest from five Western Massachusetts municipalities.
Springfield resident Yariel Berrios-Ortiz was wanted on two dozen charges including larceny, receiving stolen property, breaking and entering and negligent operation out of Springfield, Ludlow, Westfield, Wilbraham and Holyoke, Springfield police said in a press release.
On Feb. 29, officers spotted Berrios-Ortiz and initiated a traffic stop, police said. But when he saw police, he drove into both police and civilian vehicles and then fled the state.
