Springfield Councilor Malo Brown pledges to ‘fight for the people’ if elected to Senate

SPRINGFIELD — Negotiating bringing resources to Western Massachusetts is more of a game of chess than checkers, and Malo Brown said he has the skills and strategy to be ready to play.

A six-year city councilor whose full-time job is chief of staff to state Rep. Bud L. Williams, Brown said he has the experience to step up to the next level. He is challenging incumbent Adam Gomez for state Senate in the Hampden District in the Sept. 3 election.
