SPRINGFIELD — The City Council has taken the first step to allow veterans to save their quarters and use the city’s parking meter spaces for free.
The effort comes four months after Holyoke decided to do the same in an effort to show the smaller city is veteran friendly and draw in more people to shop at local businesses.
