Springfield assigns vacant land, taken in tax foreclosure, for conservation

SPRINGFIELD — The city has officially placed two vacant parcels of land in Sixteen Acres into conservation to protect them from development.

The two pieces of property sit next to each other at the end of Deboo Drive. One measures 7,500 square feet and the second measures 8,563 square feet. Together, they total about one-third of an acre in size.
