SOUTHWICK — One of the five applicants for retail cannabis permits in Southwick is out of the running, after Select Board member Diane Gale announced the four finalists at a Monday meeting.
“These packages are now available for our independent review,” Gale said of the remaining applicants, who will be formally interviewed by the board on Monday, July 15.
While Gale didn’t specifically say which applicant didn’t meet the criteria to advance as a finalist and contend for the two permits being offered, her list didn’t include the application submitted by Southwick resident James Jaron, who is the owner of Holyoke Cannabis in Holyoke.
