SOUTHWICK — With the goal of providing a boost to small business in town, the Southwick Economic Development Commission recently launched a website that features links to nearly half of them for easy access to potential customers.
“We think this the best thing to give a boost to small businesses in town … and it’s free to them,” EDC member Greg Deily about the new site, www.shopsouthwick.net.
For years, the town’s EDC operated with a relatively low profile, but after several new appointments and the election of a new chair, Inga Hotaling-Washington, the commission established several new goals, including conducting a survey of businesses in town and using that information to create the website.
